| Volunteers To Hold Disbanding Ceremony |
The Corps of Volunteers for the 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/JapanTM is planning to hold disbanding ceremonies on July 13 at 10 host cities across Korea and Japan.
The ceremony will give a chance for the Korea Organizing Committee for the 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/JapanTM to congratulate itself on a successful completion of the Games, along with a total of 15,000 volunteers. These volunteers all played a truly indispensable role in the event, and as a gesture of thanks the Committee will present each of them with a letter of appreciation and souvenir. The event will also include gala revues and performances.
In the Seoul World Cup Stadium in Sangam-dong, festivities will be held from 18:00 onwards with 3,200 volunteers (who worked for the Committee’s Headquarters and the Seoul Operation Headquarters) participating. There are congratulatory performances scheduled under the sponsorship of TBS-FM.
