Korea is an Affordable Place to Visit

Korea is rapidly becoming recognized as one of the most diverse travel destinations in Asia-adding a new wave of fashion, sophisticated restaurants and well-matured entertainment to the traditional attractions of its ancient palaces, spectacular scenery and bargain shopping. It is also distinctive because it has food, lodging and other options to suit almost any budget.

Although travel expense can vary depending on the level of accommodation service chosen and how much money is spent for shopping, visitors can relish the attractions of Korea with as little as US$ 1,000 per person per one week.

US$ 1,000 is the average amount spent by individual foreign travelers who visited Korea last year and includes accommodation, food, shopping and others. The airfare is excluded.

Broken down into 4 categories, accommodation for five days cost US$ 400 while US$ 300 was spent on shopping, US$ 200 for food and beverage, and US$ 100 for others.
