Jejudo Island has often been traditionally referred to Samdado
(an island of three many attributes), characterizing the island's
abundance in three features; rocks, wind and women. The island is
dotted with soft, beautiful sand beaches that stretch romantically
alongside the azure blue sea.
Innumerable types of fish swim peacefully in the sea and visitors
can enjoy a variety of maritime leisure activities. In the wide
grassy meadows located on Mt. Hallasan, there are several tourist
ranches that offer horseback riding. Tangerine farms, groves gold
with the delicious, juicy fruits, are a unique feature of Jejudo.
In the coastal areas scenic sites abound, including spectacular
sea cliffs and waterfalls. Jejudo is an internationally recognized
tourist destination where every part of the island, be it sea, mountain

Mt. Hallasan
Hallasan, the highest mountain in the country 1,950 meters above
sea level, is a dormant volcano with a lake crater at its summit.
The entire area has been designated as a nature preservation area
for the protection of rare species of plants and animals inhabiting
in the mountain park. During every season, Hallasan's scenery is
spectacular, but it is especially known for its spring azalea blossoms.
Cheonjeyeon Falls
Cheonjeyeon, or ¡°the sky emperor's pond,¡± takes its name from a
traditional legend. According to the legend, seven nymphs guarding
the sky emperor descended at night to bathe here. Cheonjeyeon Falls
consist of three sets of falls. The first plummets down a 22-meter
high cliff, creating Cheonjeyeon Pond. Then the water from the pond
runs into the sea via the second and third waterfalls.
Cheonjiyeon Falls
Cheonjiyeon means ¡°a pond between the earth and the sky.¡± Surrounded
by green subtropical plants, the waterfall hurtles down the sea
cliff, presenting a breathtaking view..
Jeongbang Falls
Jeongbang crashes directly on to the beach, creating an unforgettable
and spectacular vista. The falls are located only five minutes by
car from Seogwipo.
Jusangjeolri of Jungmun Daepo Sea Cliff
Among the sea cliffs and swirling waves stand the dark-red hexagonal
stone pillars, showing off the majesty and grandeur of nature
Jungmun Resort Complex
Jungmun Resort Complex is surrounded by the grandeur of Mt. Hallasan,
Cheonjeyeon Falls and Jungmun Beach. The resort is equipped with
world-class accommodations and resort facilities. Jungmun Beach,
with the only sand dunes in Korea, nestles within the resort complex.
Yeomiji Botanical Garden
Yeomiji Botanical Garden located in Jungmun Resort Complex, home
to more than 2,000 kinds of flowers and trees, sorrounded by 1,700
kinds of subtropical plants. Traditional landscaping styles of Japan,
Italy, France and Korea are featured in the exhibition hall.
Jungmun Folk Museum
This theme museum features many aspects of the everyday life of
the local fishermen. Houses with thatched roofs, traditional low
fences and around 3,000 pieces of fishing and farming tools vividly
describe the way of life in a typical small fishing village.

Jeju
International Triathlon Competition
Every June at Jungmun Resort Complex. It is recognized by the World
Triathlon Committee as the official triathlon competition of Asia,
and winners of the competition are qualified to advance to the world

Abalone porridge
Abalone porridge is an expensive seafood dish that was enjoyed by
the royal families in the past. It is extremely nutritious and especially
effective for restoring the function of the liver.
Raw Fish
Jejudo Island is a haven for raw fish enthusiasts. There is nothing
like the tender, fresh fish offered in Jejudo.
Black Pork
One can experience the unique delicacy of Seogwipo black pork barbecued
on a charcoal grill. The tender, juicy texture is all the more enjoyable
when the pork is marinated in hot pepper paste.
